So if someone is 80 years old, and they've been serving this organization for 40, 50, 60 years of their life in expectation that the end is right around the corner, and now they've been told they've got another 45 to 50 years to go depending on how young the youngest of this generation's contemporaries is.........wow that just hurts. That's a low blow man. By the way, can there be contemporaries of contemporaries?

Thanks Randy. I've only read the paragraphs on Dunlap's situation and wanted to say something, or rather ask something. How do you DF and send on their way 70 year olds with 40 years of faithful service under their belt? Whatever happened to being able to respectfully disagree? Wow, that's just sick sick sick! If Dunlap would have went back to Bethel with an automatic and start dropping bodies it would have been understandable.

just printed the simplified version and showed it to several of my coworkers. The response was a universal OMFG WTF!!!! It embarrasses me to have ever been involved with this crap.
Its ironic how when your a JW kid, you're embarrased and shy about being the odd kid in the room. No holidays, flag saluting and all that jazz. I thought upon entering adulthood the embarrasment would disapate, but after viewing the brochure last night, I'm more embarrased by this religion than I was as a kid. Do they really expect us to offer this to the general public?

I didn't know Geoffrey Jackson was only 55. How old was he when he started partaking? How did he climb the ranks so quickly? You know there's a congregation north of where I'm at, and I gave a talk there one Sunday. It had to have been the oldest congregation I've ever seen. It looked like a Medicare-D educational seminar. I don't know if anyone was partaking of the emblems or not, but I'd venture to say that 95% of the congregation was not, and there was a significant amount of them who were older than 55. Him being annointed doesn't even make sense. I don't have anything against the guy personally, and I actually like his voice and speaking style, but if he's annointed and all these other LONG time JWs have an earlthy hope, something is extremely wrong.
